Each Shadow Box measures 13" x 8" x 2" and there's room to fit a keepsake like a baby shoe or a first toy. There's even an "oops" pouch with extra parts just in case of an error or if you would like to add a piece for twins.
How to Personalize!
Our “Clothesline” shadow boxes can be personalized easily by turning the pins, removing the back and rotating the box upside down and over so that the glass is facing away from you and the clothing is laying in front of you. You may find it easier to place something under the clothing to raise it up a bit and you will have a nice flat surface to write on. Practice a bit with the items in the “oops” pouch to gain confidence.
As shown in your samples, you can put the child’s weight on the blanket, name on the overall, date of birth on the shirt and length on the bib.
You can customize your shadowbox with additional info such as the time of the new arrival’s birth, which I like to put on the teddy bear, the sibling names in the wagon or laundry basket and even include a message from the gift giver on the background.
We use a light fast drying, waterproof art pen, my favorite is Faber Castell PITT artist pen with an “F” or an “S” tip or a fine point Sharpie. . | |
