Initially it was for me ... now it's for you
I've always been the artsy type. Growing up, I took Saturday morning cartoon classes, painting classes,
ceramic classes. You name it, I took it. When in school, I couldn’t wait for science or social studies
because there we got to make diagrams and pictures of what we were studying.
When I got married and had my first child, I went crazy buying her all cutesie clothes and anything original
I could find that was “different” from the rest. Then I had my second child and did the same for her. They
got used to wearing cute, glitzy, ribboned, original clothes. Soon after, a friend and I started painting
baby clothes, t-shirts, sweat pants and tops and embellished them to look adorable. As my kids grew up and
no longer wanted to wear “cutesie” clothes, I got into baking and decorating cakes, pies, and cookies.
Fast track twenty years later, I was taking mosaic classes. There, I got into making fireplace mirrors,
urns, pictures and frames — but my first love was children's clothing and accessories.
When I moved to Florida, I did all the things that Floridians do for a while: golfing, boating, beach etc.
But I got bored and needed an outlet for my artistic abilities. I wanted to make something and bring out
my creativity. My nieces and nephew were starting their families. My nieces saw things that they thought
I could make for them without having to pay extra high prices — like baby wipes cases, burp clothes,
bow hangers, monogramming t-shirts, towels etc. WOW! Now I can make cute things again for kids.
My niece in Georgia had a house party to show the things I could make. It was a great success — thanks Heidi —
and that’s when I started thinking I can do this for a lot more people than just at house parties. So it begins ...
Initially 4 Me. Initially it was for me — now it's for you. I also have added other clothes and accessories because
I don’t have time to make EVERYTHING! I hope you like what I've picked out to put on my website.
PS - I still buy my kids cutesie things even though they are not little, but they will always be my little girls.
